This is a very moving photo essay on the after effects of Chernobyl. Very sad to see how children were affected.

The Chernobyl Exclusion Zone is a fascinating place to visit.

I visited the area for two days in June 2006 with a former resident of Pripyat. We toured the Chernobyl Plant (including the Reactor 4 control room), several of the abandoned villages, and Pripyat. I have posted a photo journal of my trip at:

Mark,

Thanks for the link! I'm sure it must have been quite an experience to see that area in person. BTW, amazing photos! I dont think I have seen such good coverage of Pripyat and inside the plant. I'll have to read through when I get a chance.

I'm sure you have seen the "Kid of speed" (http://www.kiddofspeed.com/) photos, very good as well.

Thanks again for sharing!
